Biography
Vivian Lan is a visionary dedicated to leveraging innovation for social good and utilizing technology to benefit humanity. With a background in graphic design from CDMX, a major in fine arts from New York, and experience as a Montessori teacher, Vivian has always been deeply involved in projects with social impact at their core. As a social entrepreneur and consultant specializing in leadership, innovation, and design, Vivian is passionate about addressing global challenges through creativity and collaboration to drive positive change.
Having worked extensively with marginalized communities in Mexico, Israel, and Kenya, Vivian’s commitment to making a difference led her to launch a groundbreaking social media campaign in 2011 to aid hunger relief efforts in Africa during a severe drought. In just 10 days, the campaign raised $100,000 USD, mobilized 57 international volunteers, and provided 40 tons of food and medical assistance to 20,000 individuals in need.
In 2013, Vivian furthered her knowledge at Singularity University at NASA, focusing on exponential technologies and their application in humanitarian endeavors to create impactful change globally. Following her graduation, Vivian took on the role of Singularity University ambassador in Mexico, while also serving as the Director of the Innovation Ecosystem at the Presidency of the country and the Exponential Growth Director at ExO Works.
Currently, Vivian is an esteemed international speaker and serves as the director of the SingularityU Mexico Summit in Jalisco. This initiative aims to showcase Mexico’s potential through collaborative efforts, fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship to drive positive transformation within the country and beyond.
