Previously, Scott served as the Executive Vice President of Investments at HealthLease Properties, a publicly traded REIT specializing in health care real estate. Prior to his focus on real estate, he honed his expertise over thirteen years on Wall Street, including roles as a Senior Vice President at Brookfield Asset Management, where he facilitated capital raising and structuring investments across alternative asset vehicles.
Scott’s unwavering commitment to professional excellence began in his early career, working in the Health Care Group at Citigroup’s Investment Bank, focusing on mergers and acquisitions and capital raising. He commenced his professional journey as an auditor for PricewaterhouseCoopers, bringing a strong foundation in public accounting.
Scott holds a bachelor’s degree with highest honors in political science and journalism from Rutgers University, complemented by an MBA from Rutgers Graduate School of Management and a law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive), admitted to the bars of New York and New Jersey, and holds securities industry FINRA licenses Series 7, 24, and 63.
Beyond his professional achievements, Scott is a Director Emeritus of the Rutgers University Foundation and a valued member of the Board of Directors for the NJ Chapter of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). In his leisure time, he enjoys skiing, golfing, and running, having proudly completed an Ironman triathlon and 15 marathons.
