Elina Hiltunen is a futurist with a PhD in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Engineering. Elina’s PhD thesis (2010) was on “Weak signals in organizational future learning”. Elina is currently working on her second PhD thesis at the National Defence University on the use of science fiction in defence organisational foresight. Elina is listed among the top 50 leading female futurists in the world by Forbes.
Elina is a respected lecturer and trainer. During her career, she has given hundreds of lectures about topics about the future. Elina’s foresight experience includes Nokia, Finpro and the Future Research Centre. She has also worked as an executive in residence at Aalto University ARTS. Currently, Elina is an entrepreneur in her company, What’s Next Consulting Oy.
Elina is also an author, having written 14 books, alone or together. Five of her books deal with the future: foresight methods, future technology, consumer trends, megatrends and the future of Finland, and science fiction. In addition to books about the future, he has also written books for children, for example.
Elina is also a columnist and free-lancer journalist. She is also a visitor in Finnish Broadcasting Company Yle’s tv shows about science.
