Candace Nelson is a serial entrepreneur, bestselling author, and Guest Shark on ABC’s Shark Tank, renowned for co-founding Sprinkles, the world’s first cupcake bakery and Cupcake ATM.

Candace left a successful corporate career to follow her passion for baking. In 2005, she opened the doors to Sprinkles Cupcakes, sparking a global cupcake phenomenon and establishing herself as an innovator in the food industry. After a successful sale to private equity in 2012, Candace ventured into the pizza industry, pioneering Pizzana, an innovative Neapolitan pizza concept leading the third wave of pizza in the US. Pizzana has received the prestigious Michelin Bib Gourmand and 50 Top Pizza awards and has been credited with inspiring a pizza renaissance in Los Angeles.

Candace’s book on entrepreneurship “Sweet Success: A Simple Recipe to Turn Your Passion into Profit”, published in October 2022, reached #4 on the Wall Street Journal bestseller list. Her debut book, “The Sprinkles Baking Book,” is a New York Times bestseller. She is a regular small business contributor to the Wall Street Journal and has written for Fortune, Inc. Magazine, and Nation’s Restaurant News on branding, startup funding, and the future of restaurants.

Candace is an active angel investor and a principal in CN2 Ventures with her husband, Charles Nelson, investing in early-stage consumer companies.
