Brendan McGeever

Brendan spent the past twenty-five years with one foot in the boardroom and one foot on the stage. His decades of experience in Sales & Marketing at Google, Kraft Foods and Adobe means he understands the wide array of business challenges your teams face. And his years of experience as the emcee of major corporate events means he’ll have your audience laughing all the way to their break-out sessions.

Brendan had three path-defining academic experiences that helped shape who he is today: He graduated with an undergraduate major magna cum laude in Marketing from The Wharton School; he received an MBA from the Harvard Business School; and he got a “Very Funny” rating from the instructor of the course he took at Caroline’s Comedy on Broadway in New York City.

Brendan began his career in Brand Management at Kraft Foods, helping to grow the Honey Bunches of Oats breakfast cereal franchise into a powerhouse in the grocery aisle, second only to the stalwart Cheerios brand.

In 2006, he left Kraft for the recently IPO’d Google, where he helped CPG brands like Coca-Cola and Axe understand the marketing revolution that Google AdWords was fomenting. Then, in 2008, he volunteered to be one the first dozen people to sell advertising on the newly-acquired YouTube website, which today brings in more than $30 billion annually.

With the world of start-ups beckoning, Brendan left Google in 2009 to join a bootstrapped social media start-up founded by his friend, Kevin Barenblat, that would only two years later be gobbled up by creativity powerhouse Adobe Inc.

Through these experiences, and his fluency in the French language, Brendan found his way to Europe and landed at Google Paris in 2015, where he soon took charge of the onboarding and training of Google’s 4,000 salespeople in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

But his secret passion for the stage was never far from view, as Brendan was the on-stage host for major employee gatherings at Kraft, Adobe and Google. Those who knew him in his early days even got to see him deliver the graduation address at Harvard Business School, with a hilarious send-up with a fellow alumnus who was then the 43rd President of the United States.

In his last role at Google before becoming a full-time speaker and trainer in 2020, Brendan led a bi-weekly all-hands gathering that drew inspiration from late-night American talk shows — music, comedy and information. The recurring event became the epicenter of culture for Google Paris.

Brendan has since been the driving force behind many large-scale corporate events that he’s hosted in French and in English in Paris where he lives and around Europe.
